While many local businesses are slowly reopening at reduced capacity, your “normal” date night ideas may be looking a little…less normal. Luckily, there is still an opportunity to get in on that date night feeling while still supporting local and staying safe.
Take Out Fun
Instead of ordering in your normal Friday night pizza and veggin’ out on the couch – why not switch it up?! Local restaurants are still open for take-out & pick up, which means you can still order in your favourite meals while not physically having to eat in the restaurant.
So go ahead…order your fav restaurant meal, grab the boxes and visit your local park for a (socially distanced) romantic picnic. Bonus points if you remember to bring a blanket, portable speaker and battery-operated candles for added ambience.
Night Turns in to Day
Who says dates need to happen at night? You can still pack in a ton of fun during daytime hours, and local businesses and restaurants will likely be even less busy during these times. Instead of dinner, book a lunch reservation. Visit the zoo on a weekday instead of a weekend.
Online Dating – Literally.
Zoom meetings have opened a chance for long-distance lovers to do fun activities over video chat, instead of in person. Why not stream and watch a movie together? Take an online cooking class, while “sharing” a bottle of wine?
