Canada, the beautiful country we are lucky enough to call our home, turns 150 years this July 1st!
To mark the big event, the Town of Sylvan Lake is throwing a huge celebration, full of family fun. Check out a few of the highlights for celebrating Canada 150 below:
Rotary Club Family Activities:
Love bouncy castles, face painting and glitter tattoos? Or is that just your kids? No matter, this fun-filled family event will also host food trucks to help keep parents (and tummies) happy.

When: 10 – 4 pm
March of Canadian’s and Birthday Cake Celebration:
Don your favorite red and white outfits and head on down to the Municipal Government building to partake in March of Canadians! Show off your decorated bike or scooter and ride on down to Lakeshore drive to join in singing Happy Birthday and eat a giant slice of cake!

Street Dance:
Join in on this street wide dance party. Bring your best dance moves and get ready to dance the night away!

When: 4 – 11 pm
Fire Show & Fireworks:
A beautiful display of fireworks overlooking the water, following an exciting fire show, is sure to be an awesome way to close out the big day.
